The Airport Commission is responsible for the oversight of all planning, development, management and operation of the Airport.

Lambert is owned and operated by the City of St. Louis and is located 11 miles northwest of downtown St. Louis along I-70 between I-170 and I-270 in St. Louis County.

History
Initially, the area now known as Lambert-St. Louis International Airport was a balloon launch location called Kinloch Field.

Employment
Lambert-St. Louis International Airport is owned and operated by the City of St. Louis. The City of St. Louis Personnel Department coordinates all job listings.

Airport Experience
The Airport Experience Program is a $70 million renovation campaign that began in 2008 to improve passenger services, airport operations and deliver a dramatic visual makeover of Terminal 1 and Concourses A & C. 

Art at the Airport

Lambert - St. Louis International Airport chose nine local artists to contribute their works that can be viewed in Concourses A & C. These unique pieces are displayed on glass screens and make up the first exhibited works through the new Public Art and Culture Program.
