Lambert-St. Louis International Airport (STL) strives to serve the needs of all our travelers. We hope your travel experience through the Airport is an enjoyable one. We offer this information to familiarize you with the Airport’s services and facilities that are available to travelers with disabilities.
Many services such as skycaps, sighted guides and wheelchairs are provided by the airlines. The Airport does not provide these services. If assistance is necessary, advance notice may be given to the appropriate airline. This can be done by contacting your airline directly or by contacting your travel agent. Airlines will provde wheelchair assitance at Terminal curbside.
The TSA has specially designed lanes at security checkpoints for persons with disabilities. To help expedite your passage through the security checkpoint and for information on what items are prohibited onboard the aircraft, log onto the TSA website at www.TSA.gov or call

Service Animal Relief Areas
The Airport offers five relief areas for Service Animals.
Elevators are available between the lower and upper levels in the Terminals and all parking garages. Elevators with Braille signage and raised numbers & audible information are in each of the terminals and parking garages.
Emergency egress doors have both flashing and audible signals.
Route of travel into Terminal does not require use of stairs. Most entry doors are automatic open and close.
Accessible restrooms are located throughout the Airport. These facilities are indicated by the International Symbol of Accessibility. Companion Care Family restrooms are also located throughout the Airport.
Service Animal Relief Areas
Lambert-St. International Airport offers two outdoor rest areas for passengers with service animals or traveling pets. Each relief area offers 400 square feet of gated space with park benches, trash cans, plastic mitts for cleanup and even fire hydrants. Terminal 1’s animal rest area is located on the upper level, west end, outside exit 6. The Terminal 2 animal relief area is located outside exit 15.
Room signs use raised letters and Braille text. High contrast / non-glare finish is provided on directional and informational signage.
Telephones with communication devices for the hearing impaired are located in all Lambert terminals and Concourses.
Goods and Services
All Goods and Services providers, including all news and gift, good and beverage and specialty retail facility at the Airport are accessible to travelers with disabilities. All facilities have been designed to comply with ADA regulations. Sales representatives at all Goods and Services locations are able to provide additional assistance upon request and service animals are permitted.
Automated Teller Machines or ATM’s located in both Terminal Buildings and all three Concourses. The ATM’s are wheelchair accessible.
The Airport has installed large, easy-to-read LCD monitors throughout the terminals that visually convey important airport information.
Parking & Ground Transportation
Lambert has reserved parking spaces for travelers with disabilities at Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 parking garages. All handicap spaces are located near an elevator. Call your airline in advance to make wheelchair arrangements. Airlines will provide wheelchair assitance at Terminal curbside.

The Airport’s website, Ground Transportation, has a list of providers that include rental cars, downtown shuttle service, hotel shuttles, taxis and public mass transportation.
• Find out which terminal your party will be arriving at before you come to the Airport. Up-to-date flight information can be obtained by checking flight information to learn the anticipated departure or arrival time and the terminal gate. Passengers can be picked up outside the bag claim on the Arrivals Road at the terminal where the flight arrived.
The region’s light rail line has stops at both terminals at Lambert. The Terminal 1 platform is accessible from the east end of the ticketing hall. The Metrolink corridor begins near the overlook of the C Concourse checkpoint. The Terminal 2 Metrolink platform is located just south of the Terminal 2 parking garage, see map. Users can access the platform from either level of the garage to the south. Elevators are available at both terminal platforms. The train platforms are equipped with bridge plates to assist people who use wheelchairs in crossing the gap between the train and the platform. Yellow safety stripes are at the edges of all platforms.

General Questions and Information
The Airport has an Information and Paging Booth with staffing from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily. Information Booth staff handle all passenger paging (voice and visual for hearing impared) and can answer your questions including airport services, airlines, parking and ground transportation.
