Catch Us Giving
Lambert- St. Louis International Airport held its annual Catch Us Giving Annual Awards Reception today honoring those employees who have been recognized by passengers and visitors for going the extra mile. Airport Director Rhonda Hamm-Niebruegge named Customer Service Representative Keith Burleson with Air Serv as the Ambassador of the Year. Air Serv is the vendor which provides services to Southwest Airlines in Terminal 2. Burleson was chosen for being recognized by passengers and visitors throughout the year for providing excellent customer service.
“This event is a great time for us to come together as a unit and reinforce the importance of going the extra mile for the passengers we serve,” said Rhonda Hamm-Niebruegge, Lambert Airport Director.
The Catch Us Giving customer service program receives tremendous support from the business community. Sponsors of the Catch Us Giving Annual Awards Reception are American Airlines, Southwest Airlines, Funjet Vacations, The Regional Business Council, Extended Stay America, InMotion Entertainment, Hudson, Super Park and US Bank.

Nothing says sustainable like a good old fashion bicycle. That’s just one of the many items featured in the Airport’s latest Terminal 1 Bag Claim exhibit by St. Louis Earth Day, which is promoting its annual festival and other activities for the weekend of April 20-21. The exhibit is filled with interesting items made from recycled goods in addition to lots of tips on how to recycle and be sustainable in our everyday living. Lambert is proud to host the exhibit. The Airport also supports the annual Earth Day Event at Forest Park by providing buses for public shuttles to and from the event. For more information, log onto www.stlouisearthday.org.

A lot of hands were up celebrating and clapping this week at Lambert’s 3rd Annual Catch Us Giving Awards Celebration. More than 150 Airport employees were honored for being caught for giving great customer service in 2012. The Catch Us Giving program received more than 400 nominations in 2012 from customers, passengers and other visitors. Monthly winners throughout the year received special recognition in the program. The Catch Us Giving Ambassador of the Year was Sunni Jefferson with Go Best Express. All nominees and winners had the chance to win prizes at the event, including a pair of round trip tickets on American Airlines.
Erica Turner (left) and Artinces Hawkins with Huntleigh provided excellent customer service to a young passenger who was beaten up by her boyfriend and dropped off at Lambert Airport with her baby. Artinces saw the young lady and noticed she had been in the airport most of the day. She later found out the young lady couldn't afford a ticket for her child and check her luggage. Artinces paid $220 so the young lady could take her luggage with her. Erica Turner paid for the young lady and her baby to stay in a hotel room because she couldn't a flight out until the next day. Erica and Artinces went beyond the scope of their everyday duties to provide excellent customer service to a passenger. The young lady was very appreciative.
Kerrie Keane of Southwest Airlines was commended for making the day of a passenger who flew to St. Louis to photograph the Venus transit. The passenger was afraid his luggage wouldn't arrive in time. His luggage contained the equipment he needed to photograph the rare Venus transit. But when he talked to Kerrie she assured him his luggage would arrive in time and she would contact him. She did and the passenger was able to capture the Venus transit. He praised Kerrie for her professionalism and kindess.
Avoid parking fees the next time you pick up a passenger. Lambert provides free waiting zones for motorists near each terminal.
