A Navy Mercury E-6 practiced "touch n go" operations at Lambert this week.
Lambert got a special military visit this week with the arrival of a Navy Mercury E-6 (Boeing) Jet. It arrived in the St. Louis air space Tuesday. The 150 ft. long, all-white plane circled several times around the Airport and touched down on the runway for a few seconds each go around before taking off again. That’s called a "touch and go." The Mercury E-6 is a strategic communications plane for the Navy with a home base at Tinker A.F.B. in Oklahoma City. The visit was part of routine training for pilots and crew to be able to practice low level approaches and landing maneuvers at a variety of airports.
Avoid parking fees the next time you pick up a passenger. Lambert provides free waiting zones for motorists near each terminal.
