American Airlines passengers at Lambert Airport watched members of the International Association of Firefighters Local 2665 Honor Guard as they accepted a special flag flown in to St. Louis.to honor a fallen firefighter. Lieutenant Bruce Britt, of Columbia, died in the line of duty Saturday, Feb. 22, when a walkway collapsed at a University of Missouri-Columbia run apartment complex. The Firefighters were somber as they accepted the flag that has honored fallen first responders since the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. The flag was presented by an American Airlines’ pilot. Memorial services were held for Lt. Britt in Columbia, Missouri and in his hometown, Williamsville, New Mexico.
