Lambert-St. Louis International Airport is one of 250 locations hosting an STL250 Cake. See if you can find this cake and others around the city.
To celebrate the 250th birthday of St. Louis, 4-ft high cakes have sprung up across the metro area, including Lambert-St. Louis International Airport. It’s all part of Cakeway to the West, a region-wide public art and history lesson campaign that is marking the city’s anniversary with 250 custom painted fiberglass cakes located at landmarks, cultural institutions, outdoor spots and places voted in by the public. Lambert’s cake sports blue and purple tones with imagery of the Airport’s domes, skylights and other iconic features. It was painted by artist Henryk Ptasiewicz. A scavenger hunt contest is underway for sleuths to find all the cakes around the city. Find out more about the cake contest and other major events here.
Avoid parking fees the next time you pick up a passenger. Lambert provides free waiting zones for motorists near each terminal.
