Great Green Successes! Lambert-St. Louis International Airport will be profiled on Sunday, August 26 on KTRS (550 AM) for the Growing Green St. Louis Show which airs from 1-2 p.m. The program, hosted by Jean Ponzi (aka "Green Jean") from the Missouri Botantical Garden, will delve into all the iniatiatives underway at Lambert to help the environment and our community while continuing safe and efficient operations. Lambert Director Rhonda Hamm-Niebruegge, Environmental/Safety Manager Joletta Golik and Fleet Maintenance Supervisor Mike Bernich share all the positive stories our passengers see and don't see, from recycling waste, protecting the region's watersheds to using compressed natural gas and bio fuels for a majority of the Airport's vehicles. Lambert is also participating this year in the RCGA's St. Louis Green Business Challenge, which is a competition among the region's top businesses and organizations to improve sustainability programs. A podcast of the program will be uploaded within a couple of days after the show airs and can be found on the program's website. We hope you check it out.
Avoid parking fees the next time you pick up a passenger. Lambert provides free waiting zones for motorists near each terminal.
