Southwest Airlines is the latest to cancel all remaing flights on its schedule for Thursday, Feb. 21 at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport.
As of 2:30 p.m. Lambert airlines have cancelled 167 arriving flights and 156 departures through late Thursday evening. American and United Airlines have announced that any flights prior to 8 a.m. on Friday, February 22 are also cancelled. Any additional decisions on cancellations by the airlines will be made later tonight after the storm moves out of the St. Louis area.
Lambert Airport remains open and crews continue to keep runways, taxiways and ramp areas operational. Delta Airlines is still operating some flights this afternoon but conditions could still change and lead to additional cancellations.
Airport operations in all concourses remain open including restaurants and some stores. Restaurants are still operational in Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 as well.
St. Louis travelers with tickets for Friday and beyond should continue to follow flight status directly with their airlines for the latest information. Most airlines are relaxing their flight change policies because of the winter storm.
