Due to winter storm conditions on area roads there are long delays for taxi service and area bus shuttles. Service will remain limited until road conditions improve. Hotel shuttles are also operating but service may be delayed.
Travelers are being urged to use MetroLink train if they have destinations for downtown St. Louis or other stops along the MetroLink route.
As of 2:45 p.m. there have been 169 arriving and 157 departing flights cancelled through midnight Thursday evening. Lambert usually has nearly 500 flight operations on a typical day.
The Airport remains open and runways are operational. There is still some flight activity that has yet to be cancelled from a few airlines. American Airlines, Southwest Airlines, US Airways and United have all cancelled their flights for the rest of the day.
The Airport remains open with full restaurant, bar and concession services for both terminals. Airport crews continue to clear snow from runways, taxiways, ramps on the airfield. Crews are continuing to clear snow on roadways, parking surfaces and pedestrian areas as well.
