Snow Session: STL Photo of the Week

Posted on October 25, 2019 in Photos

In preparation for the winter weather season, the Airfield Maintenance team at St. Louis Lambert International Airport (STL) conducted a snow removal training session on Friday, October 25. Crews used eight specialized snow removal vehicles to practice formations and various runway and taxiway clearing routes. By practicing formations and snow removal routes before the winter weather arrives, we are able to cut down on the time it takes to remove snow from runways and taxiways. Efficient snow removal operations can reduce the amount of time passengers and crew members wait to depart or taxi to the gate after landing. Even during winter weather, we’re huSTLing to get you where you need to be.
