Detour on Terminal 2 Departures Drive due to roadway construction

Posted on October 12, 2020 in Media Releases

ST. LOUIS (Oct. 12, 2020): St. Louis Lambert International Airport will implement a road detour for Terminal 2 (T2) starting tomorrow, Tuesday, Oct. 13, at 7 a.m., as its contractor continues work on the selective concrete slab replacement project on Lambert International Boulevard (LIB). This will affect westbound traffic coming down from T2 Departures Drive.

This detour will allow the contractor to replace concrete at the intersection of LIB and T2 Departures Drive. Work will take approximately 48 hours to complete, weather permitting.

The T2 detour will reroute westbound LIB traffic coming from T2 Departures Drive. It will take motorists from T2 Departures Drive back east on LIB, left to the T2 Arrivals Drive. Motorists will then complete the loop at T2 Arrivals Drive and take the lower drive exit to westbound LIB.

Motorists will be guided through the detour with signs and traffic control devices, but anyone coming to the airport’s T2 facility should be aware of potential congestion. This work is part of an ongoing project to maintain the LIB roadway.
