Work continues on STL’s new Jet Fuel Storage Facility. The more than $60 million project is scheduled to be fully operational by Spring 2021.

The new facility is located on nearly eight acres of airport-owned property near the intersection of Airport Road and James S. McDonnell Boulevard. Initially, it will consist of three one-million gallon, above-ground fuel storage tanks and associated pumps, filters and other equipment. The site will have room for expansion beyond that capacity, as well.

Currently, crews are adding nearly two miles of underground pipe that will connect the facility with gate E2 and the rest of the airport.
