ST. LOUIS (Sept. 9, 2020): This is a reminder that the annual spot slab repair project on Lambert International Boulevard (LIB) at St. Louis Lambert International Airport continues. The project’s contractor RV Wagner Construction is now beginning work on the southernmost lane of eastbound LIB (shown in Blue in the graphic).
This project targets specific areas of the concrete roadway in need of repair and will concentrate on LIB between Terminal One (T1) and Terminal Two (T2). The project’s contractor is closing one lane, at a time, in its entirety between T1 and T2 for approximately one week. For each lane closed the contractor will install traffic control and then patch with concrete the specific sections of the road in need of repair. The work will include saw cutting, needed demolition, prepping and pouring of concrete on each lane while it is closed. The work will then move onto the next lane scheduled for repair work.
This project is expected to take several more weeks with the weather’s cooperation. The contractor will be working on the scheduled roadways Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. Each lane will be closed even during non-work hours to allow concrete to cure.
