One westbound lane near T2 stays closed during Stage 2
ST. LOUIS, MO (October 31, 2021): Starting Monday, November 1, Metro Transit will continue the biennial inspection of the elevated MetroLink tracks that run just east of St. Louis Lambert International Airport’s (STL) Terminal Two (T2) to STL’s Terminal One (T1). On that day, stage two of 12 stage process begins.
Stage two commences on Monday at 7 a.m. During stage two of the inspection, the right lane of two westbound lanes of Lambert International Boulevard (LIB) will be closed. The closure begins just west of the intersection of LIB and Arrivals Drive going westbound and running to the intersection where traffic exits the T2 arrival and departure levels to re-enter LIB (see accompanying diagram). Also, the two right lanes exiting the T2 garage will be reduced to one lane. The work during stage two will continue on Tuesday and will be completed by 2:30 pm on Wednesday, November 3.
As the inspection moves to other sections of the MetroLink tracks, the public can expect other various lane closures as well as rerouting of traffic. Announcements by STL will be made prior to any traffic pattern changes. This MetroLink project is scheduled to be completed on November 13.
