Airport Business Honors STL’s Fuel Farm as a Project of the Year

The publication calls the fuel farm innovative and impactful
ST. LOUIS, MO (February 17, 2022): Airport Business, a publication of Aviation Pros, has designated St. Louis Lambert International Airport’s (STL) new fuel farm as one of its 2022 Projects of the Year. The honor is selected by the Airport Business staff. The magazine’s annual award highlights projects that they believe are “transforming the North American aviation system.”
The farm consists of a 4,300-square-foot operations building and holds three-million gallons of above grade jet fuel storage for the airport. Construction began in July 2019 and was completed in the summer of last year. The new fuel farm has a backup electrical power system that allows fuel to be distributed even during extreme weather events like the tornado of 2011.
