STL Congratulates Southwest On Its First 50 Years

Southwest Airlines continues expanding its offerings from STL
ST. LOUIS (June 18, 2021): Today, marks Southwest Airlines’ 50th anniversary. St. Louis Lambert International Airport (STL) has been a part of Southwest’s network of airports since 1985.
“St. Louis Lambert International wants to wish our partner, Southwest Airlines, our best on this their 50th Anniversary,” said Rhonda Hamm-Niebruegge, STL Director. “We are proud that for over 36 years we at St. Louis Lambert International have been able to play an important role in the airline’s history. We are looking forward to continuing to doing so in Southwest’s next 50 years.”
As Southwest celebrates 50 years, the airline is offering more service to a variety of destinations from STL. This includes:
- 1 flight daily to Miami International Airport (MIA)
- 1 flight daily to John Wayne Airport, Orange County, CA (SNA)
- Weekend service to Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport in Georgia (SAV)
- Weekend service to Myrtle Beach International Airport in South Carolina (MYR)
At STL, Southwest Airline’s ticketing operation is located in Terminal 2. The airline’s gates are located in Concourse E. The airline has a 60.5 percent market share of enplaned passengers at STL.
