Two westbound LIB lanes will close alternately on Friday

ST. LOUIS, MO (November 12, 2021): Today, both a left and right westbound lane of Lambert International Boulevard (LIB) will be closed alternately just west of St. Louis Lambert International Airport’s (STL) Terminal One (T1) Arrivals/Departures entrance ramp. This is occurring as Metro Transit jumps forward to stages eight and nine of the biennial inspection of the elevated MetroLink tracks that run just east of STL’s T2 to STL’s Terminal One (T1). This inspection is a 12 stage process.

Stages eight and nine commence at 7 a.m. During these stages, the left lane of westbound LIB will be closed just west of T1’s Arrivals/Departures entrance ramp for work that will complete stage eight. During stage nine, the right lane of westbound LIB will be closed just west of T1's Arrivals/Departures entrance ramp (see the accompanying diagrams for the traffic control plans). The work on stages eight and nine are scheduled to be finished today by 2:30 p.m.

As the inspection moves to other sections of the MetroLink tracks, the public can expect other various lane closures as well as rerouting of traffic. Announcements by STL will be made prior to any traffic pattern changes. This MetroLink project is now scheduled to be completed on November 20.
