STL Begins Work on LIB Bridge Over Coldwater Creek

This is Phase One of a two-part project to be completed in 2023
ST. LOUIS, MO (October 10, 2022): Today (Monday, October 10), Gershenson Construction began work on the Lambert International Boulevard (LIB) bridge that runs over Coldwater Creek. This work will encompass structural repairs to the bridge, constructing a new pedestrian bridge next to the roadway bridge, sewer work and landscaping. The work will affect traffic coming onto the airport property using Cypress and Natural Bridge Roads, as well as those traveling westbound to enter Interstate 70 using Cypress Road.
During the first phase of this construction work, the westbound lanes of LIB will be closed off and the eastbound lanes will be reduced to one lane of traffic going in each direction (a diagram of the project’s first phase is shown above). Phase One is scheduled for completion sometime in May of 2023. At this point, Phase Two will begin (a second diagram of this project’s work phase is also attached).
During Phase Two, the eastbound lanes of LIB will be closed and the westbound lanes will be reduced to one lane of traffic going in each direction. This project is scheduled to be finished in July of 2023.
