STL’s Total Number of Passengers Is Largest in More Than 20 Years

This high number of travelers posted at St. Louis Lambert in 2024
ST. LOUIS, MO (February 4, 2025): In 2024, 15,946,730 passengers moved through St. Louis Lambert International Airport (STL). This is the highest number of travelers passing through STL since 2003 when just under 20.5 million passengers flew through the airport. The 2024 total passenger number is also 7.1 percent higher than in 2023, when 14,886,000 traveled through STL.
In 2019, STL recorded 15,878,527 passengers, the previous high mark. However, with the release of the 2024 numbers, STL has now surpassed that and shows significant growth since coming out of the pandemic.
“We are very pleased with last year’s performance and we believe the trajectory will only increase in the coming years,” said Rhonda Hamm-Niebruegge, STL Airport Director. “This recent 20-year high shows the strength of our relationships with our airline partners and the support we receive from the region as we all focus together on growing STL.”
