Landscaping Supervisor Tina Rein transplants a tree next to the Terminal 2 entrance sign while Sal Geniec spruces up other parts of the planting bed.

Hundreds of thousands of travelers will soon be heading to the Airport over the next several weeks on their holiday journeys. St. Louis Lambert International Airport (STL) makes sure to give visitors a bright an festive welcome this time of year. Our Landscaping and Field Maintenance crews can’t wait until December to flip the switch for decorations inside and outside the terminals. The job is simply too big. That’s why on a cold, sunny mid-November morning, we found the teams focused on a major spruce up job around the Terminal 2 entrance sign. Landscaping supervisor Tina Rein led the effort to transplant two trees that will flank the sign for the next several weeks. The trees will soon be dressed up in traditional Christmas lights. From here, the teams will move to finish out a long list of other holiday to-do’s inside and out -and in short order- to officially welcome in the holiday season.
