Teaching Moment: The Black Americans in Flight Mural was painted by Spencer Taylor and Solomon Thurman. The 21-foot mural honors African Americans in aviation and was unveiled at STL in 1990. Mr. Thurman was recently at STL and took the opportunity to teach his grandson about its history.
