A heartwarming moment unfolds at St. Louis Lambert International Airport as a group of veterans and their escorts walk through a corridor lined with American flags. They are greeted by enthusiastic cheers from supporters and Louie, the St. Louis Blues mascot, adding a festive spirit to the welcome.

Welcome Home, Soldier: Greater St. Louis Honor Flight took dozens of veterans to D.C. Tuesday to visit war memorials and to commemorate the 79th anniversary of the D-Day Invasion in Normandy, France. 65 veterans were on board, 62 Vietnam veterans and three veterans from World War II.
