STL Begins Expansion Joint Project on Arrivals Drive of T1
Project is expected to run approximately two weeks
ST. LOUIS, MO (July 27, 2021): St. Louis Lambert International Airport (STL) plans to replace the center and western expansion joints on Arrivals Drive at Terminal One (T1). The project will begin tomorrow morning, Wednesday, July 28, at 7 a.m.
For those not up-to-date with the geography of the airport, Arrivals Drive at T1 is the lower level roadway for that terminal. It is also the most common area for pick-up of passengers arriving by commercial shuttles or personal vehicles.
This replacement project is a continuing effort by the airport to keep our roadways in good condition. The construction plans have work on both joints being done simultaneously. There will be lane closures that move across the roadway as the joints are completed. Traffic control will also be in place to assist drivers during the duration of the project.
Currently, the project is expected to take two weeks. However, if there is inclement weather at any time during the project the work could take longer.
