United Airlines Announces New Seasonal Service from STL

Posted on March 25, 2021 in Media Releases

Service to two South Carolina destinations will begin in May

ST. LOUIS (March 25, 2021): United Airlines announced it will begin seasonal service from St. Louis Lambert International Airport (STL) to Myrtle Beach (MYR) and Hilton Head, SC (HHH) beginning May 27 through September 6, 2021.

United Airlines will fly from STL to Myrtle Beach on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday of each week, while flights to Hilton Head will leave on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays. United’s service to Hilton Head, SC will be unique. Unlike other airlines that fly into Savanah, GA to provide service to this popular U.S. tourist spot, United will fly directly into Hilton Head Island Airport. While it takes over 45 minutes to drive from Savannah to the South Carolina Island, the Hilton Head Airport is just minutes from the renowned Hilton Head Plantation.

“United’s announcement of new service is exciting, as we see more partners adding new destinations from STL,” said Rhonda Hamm-Niebruegge, STL Director. These two destinations show a real commitment by a major carrier to offer St. Louis travelers the most direct service to popular east coast tourist spots. So much so, any traveler to Hilton Head is now just minutes away from everything the island has to offer after getting off their flight. ”

"Throughout the pandemic, United has been strategic and thoughtful in adding flights to destinations that our customers want to visit," said Ankit Gupta vice president of domestic network planning and scheduling at United Airlines. "With many customers now beginning to plan summer vacations in places where they can enjoy time outside, we look forward to offering new service to South Carolina.”
