Location: Post-Security, near gates E34 and 36

Determined to reimagine the notion that St. Louis is “fly-over country,” this Midwest native found inspiration at the St. Louis Lambert International Airport. This painting depicts a from the airplane window when flying back home. In hopes that people will pause and reflect, the artist uses his memories of air travel to portray a beautiful country juxtaposed with the phrase “flyover”.

About the Artist: Timothy Meehan

Timothy Meehan is a St. Louis-based fine artist. Meehan grew up in St. Louis, and has degrees in cinematography, from Columbia College in Chicago and the Art Institute of Santa Monica. He has been a full-time artist for twenty years. Prior to that he worked in the film industry in Chicago and Los Angeles.
