Sun Country Airlines to Launch New Service at STL Airport

Sun Country Airlines will begin serving St. Louis Lambert International Airport (STL) this fall when it launches scheduled service from St. Louis to Fort Myers, Florida (RSW) and Tampa, Florida (TPA).
The Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota-based airline will begin nonstop service from St. Louis to Fort Myers beginning October 3 with service on Wednesdays and Saturdays (12:55 p.m. departures). Service to Tampa will begin November 1 with service on Thursdays and Sundays (11:45 a.m. departures). Sun Country offered introductory fares from as low as $74* one way for purchases made by June 29. Travelers can book tickets now at www.suncountry.com. Sun Country has served the St. Louis market over the last several years as a charter flight operator.

Sun Country operates Boeing 737-700 and Boeing 737-800 aircraft and currently offers nearly 60 routes across the U.S. Sun Country also announced new routes from Dallas/Fort Worth, TX and Madison, WI today, further expanding beyond its Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota hub. The locations for ticket and gate operations for Sun Country at STL will be announced at later date.
Sun Country will be the 11th major passenger air carrier at STL, and the second new airline to begin operations this year. WOW air launched new international service between St. Louis and Reykjavik, Iceland in May.
STL airlines average more than 250 daily departures to 71 destinations. Through May 2018, STL has served 6,078,343 total passengers, up 5.2 percent over the first five months of 2017.
